Fitness Haul- Gap, Ron Jon!

Over the past week I have found lots of fitness gear for at least half the original prices! Let's see what I got! The first store I went to was Ron Jon Surf Shop in Ft. Lauderdale. I wasn't expecting to find any good deals but I did! As I was walking through the store I spotted some Vibram Five Fingers that were in the sale section. They had many different kinds of Vibram's to choose from but I ended up getting the speed style that have laces on the top. They felt the most comfortable to me.

Although, toe shoes look a little strange, I've always wanted to try "barefoot" shoes so I was very excited to see these for half price. I have worn them a couple of times already and have gotten a few compliments. They are super light weight and flexible and really do feel like you are barefoot.

It is suggested to ease into these shoes so you do not injure yourself. These shoes do not have support and cushion like most sneakers. The first day I wore them I just walked at a fast past for an hour. After the hour was completed my toes felt like they were being forced to stay spread out in the shoe. I took one day off from wearing my toe shoes and then did a walking/jog interval workout completing a total of 3 miles. I had no pain and nothing felt weird or different after this workout. A few days later I ran a little over a mile. After this I was a little sore in my calfs. I haven't done another workout in my toe shoes yet but I am going to continue to slowly get used to these shoes.

The next store I spotted inexpensive fitness gear at was Gap. All the sale items in the store had an additional 40 percent off. I ended up getting two tank tops.

This tank was under 5 dollars and is a really lightweight, cotton material. The next tank was a little under 6 bucks and was super flattering for many body types.

This tank is loser on the bottom half and is a little on the longer side. This tank has an adjustable drawstring on the bottom so it the hem can be tighter on the body and the shirt can be made shorter.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful 4th of July! Has anyone found any fitness finds lately?

Transformation Challenge!

Long time no blog! I know! I've been super busy with school! I want to finally transform my body and see my abs. I decided to sign up for the $100,000 Bodybuilding.com Transformation challenge. It is free and all you have to do is post progress pics. You have 12 weeks to transform your body! I lifted legs heavy today but my diet was okay. Here is my plan: Workout 6 days a week. Sunday is rest day. I am going to split my workouts up by upper and lower body, always switching up exercises. For the first three weeks I am not going to do any cardio. Just lift heavy. For the next 6 weeks after that I will do cardio for an hour but still lift heavy. For the last couple of weeks I will do cardio twice a day for one hour and also lift heavy.  My diet will stay mostly healthy for the whole 12 weeks. Eating Oatmeal, eggs, fruit, veggies, coffee, and chicken. For the first 8 weeks I will have a cheat meal once a week. Another little perk that I am adding for myself is a goal jar. Every day that I eat clean I will put a dollar bill in a jar. At the end of the 12 weeks I will be able to go get a massage or buy a new outfit with the money! I am going to use blogger as my way to record my diet and workouts! Do this challenge with me! You have will have the best body of your life just in time for summer!
